A great help for a teething baby!

As mentioned previously, Nathanael has begun teething, an exciting though challenging time! He has had a lot more trouble with his bottles, which we read is due to the suction being painful for him. And sometimes, even when he's not eating, he's sore and uncomfortable. We've tried different things -- wet washcloth in the freezer, teething ring -- but he has preferred chewing on our fingers over anything else, and that is not a totally reliable comfort for him, either. But we recently tried something that has been wonderful for Nathanael!

It's called a "fresh food feeder," and consists of a mesh bag attached to a plastic ring, and it closes tightly for safety. You can see what I'm talking about here. We keep little pieces of banana in the freezer, and when Nathanael is having a hard time we pop one into the feeder. He loves it! It fulfills two purposes: 1) It comforts him when he's sore by giving him something cool (and yummy) to chew on, and 2) It supplements his diet. We are so very thankful for this!

P.S. We got ours for $5.99 at Albertsons. I've also seen them at Babies R Us, and I imagine you can find them at a variety of other places, too.

I will be looking for the mesh food feeder. I went to the link and it looks like it could help with Kai's teething. Thanks for recommending it, Melissa :-)
