Some good reading for you

Hi there, readers. It's been a little while, but "transition" is the key word of late. :) Two weeks ago, we moved into our new home, a townhouse, and have been settling in little by little. And today marks 35 weeks along with our new little one, as well as entering our ninth month! Yay!

I wanted to pass along some edifying reading to you. Either of these resources make great "quick bites" that still give plenty of substance to chew over.

* Charles Spurgeon was a minister in the mid-19th century. His devotional, Morning and Evening, is both sharp and encouraging. You can read it online. I usually don't read it so much as a devotional, per se, but as a bit of reading to challenge/encourage me and give me some food for thought.

* You may be familiar with author Elisabeth Elliot; did you know she spoke on a radio program called "Gateway to Joy" for 13 years? The program is no longer running, but you can access transcripts of it at this website (go to "browse past programs here").

I hope you get a chance to check these out. May you be blessed, encouraged, challenged, and strengthened!
